Student-Curated Exhibitions Will Pilot in 2026

The Ethan Allen Homestead Museum is excited to announce that we will be piloting a new project for student-curated exhibitions in 2026! These exhibits will be designed and created by local students in mentorship with their classroom teachers and the Ethan Allen Homestad Museum’s Lead Educator, Skye Makaris. The student exhibits will be located on our covered front porch, where they will be most accessible to the public, even outside of open museum hours. This is a great opportunity for the Homestead Museum to partner with our students and encourage community engagement with our cultural heritage.

This project was funded by an agreement awarded by the Great Lakes Fishery Commission to the Great Lakes Fishery Commission in partnership with the Lake Champlain Basin Program. GLFC manages contract tasks and provides input on the program’s activities through a partnership with the LCBP Steering Committee. The

If you are a local teacher and you would like to get on our waitlist for partnering on a student-curated exhibit, please email Skye at education@ethanallenhomestead.org.
