Biking

The Ethan Allen Homestead Museum is right off the 127 Bike Path, making cycling a convenient option. The 127 Bike Path connects Burlington’s New North End neighborhood with the Old North End of downtown.

We are also close to the Island Line Trail, which connects downtown Burlington with Colchester and South Hero in the Champlain Islands. From the Island Line Trail, cyclists can take Killarney Drive (or another side road) to North Avenue, then Ethan Allen Parkway or the trails in Ethan Allen Park to the 127 Bike Path, which leads right to the Museum. Local Motion is a great resource for maps and route planning.

There is a large bike rack on the grass in front of the Visitor Center. Please bring a bike lock; we cannot ensure the safety of your bicycle. There is a water bottle filling station inside the Visitor Center, next to the restrooms.
